A well-established law firm based in Weybridge, Surrey, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Family Solicitor to join its team. This firm is known for providing compassionate, expert legal support to individuals and families facing a range of family law matters.

The Role
The Family Solicitor will manage a diverse caseload, addressing both contentious and non-contentious family law issues. Key responsibilities will include advising clients on matters such as divorce, financial settlements, cohabitation disputes, and emergency children cases, including child abduction, relocation, and parental alienation issues. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to constructive dispute resolution, prioritizing the best interests of children and families in alignment with Resolution's principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling complex family law cases, including high-net-worth financial settlements, sensitive children's issues, and cases involving controlling behavior or domestic violence.
  • Providing expert guidance on pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements, and separation agreements.
  • Collaborating within the firm's family law team to support clients through challenging and emotional circumstances.
  • Representing clients in court when necessary, with professionalism and integrity.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • A qualified solicitor with 3-5 years' PQE in family law.
  • Membership with Resolution (or equivalent) and a commitment to non-adversarial dispute resolution.
  • Proven expertise in emergency children's matters, including cases involving international relocation or safeguarding.
  • Strong communication skills and a client-centred approach to legal practice.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a supportive team environment.
