2x 1:1 Teaching Assistants

Location- Scunthorpe

Role- 32.5 hours per week, long-term, potential permanent option

I am currently exclusively working with a primary school in Scunthorpe to recruit two teaching assistants to join their team from January 2025 on a long-term assignment which has the potential to become permanent.

The headteacher is seeking two teaching assistants to work with two children on a 1:1 basis in their Early Years Department. The two children have SEMH (social, emotional, mental health) needs and will need additional support with their transition into EYFS and on an ongoing basis.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Work alongside a specific child to support with their educational, social, emotion and mental health needs.
• Communicate effectively with the class teacher and the school's SENCO regarding progress and next steps alongside keeping in regular contact with the child's parents/carers.
• Manage strategies to support them within the classroom and other school learning environments.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have had experience working with children in a nursery or EYFS setting.
• Have had some experience working with children with additional needs.

An Early Years or TA qualification will be a benefit however isn't a necessity as the ratio will be covered with the school's own staff.
